Mystic Lake Invite Tufts University
Weather: Sunny, 60 degrees, wind from the West at 10-15 knots with moderate shifts. Course: Double windward-leeward with an offset windward mark and a gated leeward mark (Course 4).
We had excellent conditions on Mystic Lake today. We were able to set the course in the middle of the shifts, making the races very competitive. Looking upwind and sailing toward the next shift paid sizable dividends.
We had one breakdown in race 3. The metal hardware that connected the centerboard to the boat broke. We also had one minor injury, a dislocated shoulder. The sailor was taken to the hospital and is expected to fully recover.
