N.E. Dinghy Tournament

Summary

Saturday, November 2:

Sailors arrived to warm temps and no wind. Around noon sailable breeze from the West began to settle across the course. Two A races and 2 B races were sailed before the breeze shut down.

Tomorrow is expected to blow 10-15 with higher gusts and chilly temps (the forecast threatened some possible snow - although unlikely - in the am). Don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour. Report time is 9:30 and first A race anticipated at 10am.

Sunday, November 3:

Apologies for having been hasty and sending the previous summary. The scores to include breakdown wasn't entered in the correct spot. My apologies to all.

Light cold rain and breeze greeted competitors this morning. The first race of the day saw breeze drop significantly but sailable. Breeze started out WNW and shifted right by the end of the day picking up in velocity. Many close finishes in both divisions made for exciting mark roundings. The course was shifty, shifty, shifty as was the start line. The end of the day saw warmer temps (in the high 40's) and breeze to around 10mph.

One BKD filed and redress granted. Congratulations to the UNH Wildcats for winning the NE Dinghy Tournament.

Many pictures were taken both days and will be loaded this evening. They can be found on http://flickr.com/photos/unhsailing

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
