Jesuit Open

Summary

Saturday, October 5:

Light and variable winds were the story of the day on Eastchester Bay! We tried our best to get in as many "quality" races as possible, but struggled with a consistent wind direction. We had wind from the W, NW, N, NE, E, and SE ranging from 0-6. We called it a day at 4:30 when the breeze finally gave way to glass from shore to shore.

The forecast looks great for tomorrow. We plan to get an early start and pump out races close to the shore.

Thanks to all of the Fordham Rams and Columbia Lions who helped with the regatta today. It was a strong performance under very challenging conditions.

Stay tuned...

Sunday, October 6:

The wind was light from the East when teams arrived at Morris this morning, but the conditions were better than the day before. The course was set quickly and racing was underway by 9:35. The wind continued to build and maxed out at 10 mph. We were able to get 4 A races and 6 B races in before the 3:00 deadline. All courses sailed were W4, with the exception of two W3's.

Thanks again to the Fordham and Columbia sailors who helped at the regatta.

Congratulations to Hobart for winning the 2013 Jesuit Open!

Loyola was a no show.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
