Faye Bennet

Summary

Saturday, September 28:

Sailors arrived to the Robert Crown Center to a brisk Northeasterly breeze at around 10-12 kts. on Annapolis Harbor today. Because of the breeze direction the fleet was sent out into the harbor just off of Bembe Beach. Racing began at 1015, and 6 races were sailed before the fleet headed in for a lunch break at 1300. Competitors were sent back out onto the harbor at 1400 and racing resumed at 1500 in the Chesapeake Bay off of Greenbury Point in a lighter Northwesterly at around 4-6 kts. 10 W4s were completed before racing was called for the day at 1700. No protests were filed. Thanks to our team of Midshipmen for moving marks around all day in the shifty breeze.

Sunday, September 29:

Day two of the Faye Bennet regatta saw some slightly lighter conditions in comparison to Saturday's racing. Competitors arrived to the Naval Academy and were sent out in a Northeasterly breeze ranging from 4 to 6 knots. The racing area was set off of Bembe Beach and races began at 1000 this morning. Four W4s were completed off of Bembe before the Chesapeake Bay power boat chop and dying breeze forced us to relocate to the Chesapeake Bay, just East of Greenbury Point. The last set was sailed in what was left of the Northeasterly and sailing was completed at 1330. Another thank you to our team of Midshipmen for moving marks in the shifty breeze and challenging conditions. A big congratulations to Arielle DeLisser (HWS), Marissa Lihan (USNA), Mary Hall (USNA), and Brooke Lyon (HWS) for qualifying to represent MAISA at the ICSA Singlhanded Nationals to be held by Sail Newport on November 8-10, 2013.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
