Victorian Coffee Urn

Summary

Saturday, October 27:

The sailors for this year's Victorian Coffee Urn were greeted with sunny skies and a very light shifty northerly. Race one was called off due to a huge wind shift to the south. Two more attempts were made but the strong current and light winds proved too much for the FJs on the Thames. After the southerly filled in four tricky races were completed in A division and two races were completed in B division. Five redresses were filed. There will be a 9:00 AM report time tomorrow.

Sunday, October 28:

Sailors on Sunday were greeted with overcast skies and a moderate north easterly at 7-10kts. As the day progressed, winds fueled by Hurricane Sandy increased to around 15kts with some occasional gusts approaching 20kts. The brisk breeze allowed six races (including the re-sail of 1A) to be sailed in A division and seven races to be sailed in B division. Congratulations to the Dartmouth Big Green for winning this year's Victorian Coffee Urn by over forty points.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
